DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to all laws, district policies and procedures to ensure pedestrian safety.
- Assists students, parents, seniors, etc. to safely get to and from school.
- Communicates school policies and enforcement procedures to students, personnel and visitors to ensure their understanding and potential consequences of violation.
- Directs traffic to ensure the safety of students and other pedestrians.
- Maintains equipment including but not limited to stop sign, vests, street signs, etc.
- Reports observations and/or incidents relating to specific students to the appropriate administrative personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of general maintenance procedures, safety regulations and current first aid procedures
- Ability to consistently lift 10+ pounds.
- Clearance of Criminal Justice Fingerprint and a Background check.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
