DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Adheres to all laws, district policies and procedures to ensure pedestrian safety.
  2. Assists students, parents, seniors, etc. to safely get to and from school.
  3. Communicates school policies and enforcement procedures to students, personnel and  visitors to ensure their understanding and potential consequences of violation.
  4. Directs traffic to ensure the safety of students and other pedestrians.
  5. Maintains equipment including but not limited to stop sign, vests, street signs, etc.
  6. Reports observations and/or incidents relating to specific students to the appropriate administrative personnel.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

 

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of general maintenance procedures, safety regulations and current first aid procedures
  3. Ability to consistently lift 10+ pounds.
  4. Clearance of Criminal Justice Fingerprint and a Background check.
  5. CPR/First Aid Certification.
