Job Description

Primary Function: Serves as substitute for licensed staff in given building(s) when teachers are absent.

Responsible to: Building Principal.

Assigned Responsibilities:

• Becomes familiar with building staff philosophy and expectancies for student behavior.
• Follow lesson plans provided by teacher.
• Cooperates with building staff in achieving consistency in working with pupils.
• Teaches all curriculum areas as assigned.
• May attend inservice meetings in long term assignments.
• May participate in team meetings in long term assignments.
• Maintains an orderly and supportive classroom environment in which students are actively participating and show respect for one another and for the teacher.
• Follows specified standards, policies, and procedures of the building and District.
